In June, Nature takes over.

Whether all the seeds got planted or the starts in flats got set out --- it no longer matters. At Crocker Croft the rush has past, and it is too late to do many things I had hoped to accomplish.
June says: "It is no longer yours. The garden is mine!" and there it is; it has arrived, the beautiful month, the month of June.
As summer's heat settles on us, any color in the garden is mostly daylilies, poppies, and Hostas.
The tall green plants below are autumn-blooming Golden Rod, Iron Weed, and New England Asters. Time moves so quickly it will seem like only tomorrow.
