Roving Camera

Once in a while the camera sprouts legs and takes a stroll about the place. Let's see what he captured. [The cameras here are all He(s)... Local Son, Husband/Best Friend/Chief Photographer, visiting Son-in law, and others.]

Dogwood Winter is hanging on and so are the blossoms.

The Island Bed is growing again, and we can now see what was missed in the way of removing excess bulbs. There are not supposed to be any tulips in that bed, but the squirrels do not abide by my rules. The peony plants are shooting up rapidly.

Here the little Eranthis plants are going to seed, and now we have grape hyacinths.

Last fall this area on the bank was cleared and some young daffodil bulbs were planted there. They will probably take at least a couple of years to mature and build up enough energy to bloom.

A bit blurred, but a closer look.

Down by the mailbox.

Behind the house.

Miniature iris.

Spring finally found us.

Hi Cindee, yes, it is finally spring. I wish the squirrels would stop moving them about. Although, I guess that is better than eating the bulbs. I saw some that had the blossoms eaten down to the stem. Guess everyone likes a bit of spring salad.

I'm glad your camera took you for a walk! Those peonies do pop up quickly! I was surprised at how much mine had grown while I was away.

Robin, Joey, and perennialgardener:
Spring is always in such a hurry around here, waking everything to hurry and bloom. I wish she would slow down and let us enjoy a more leisurely pace.

Fantastic photos,
The white flowering bush is so beautiful. And the blue chair, I would like to seat there and enjoy all that is growing.

Have a nice week

Everything looks pretty, Barbee. I love those trees w/the white blossoms. The blue chair on the gravel path looks very inviting.

Gunilla, thank you. The chair actually belongs to our son, but he didn't have a place for it so brought it over here. I was happy to have it.

Tina, Thank you, spring's pretty much gorgeous most places I guess. I am happy to be living in the Appalachian spring region.

JGH, Thank you for the positive feedback. Now everything needs weeding... as usual.

Jan, Thank you. I am happy you enjoyed seeing the dogwood trees. Wish I had time to sit in that chair!

I am so happy that spring finally found you, and I love Grape Hyacinths. They always remind me of my Nana's garden when I was a little girl. Thank you for following me Barbee! x

Mo, I am happy that you enjoyed seeing the Grape Hyacinths. I had never seen any until I moved here. Always learning.

Kanak Hagjer, Thank you, it certainly has the look of wild abandon. I don't own it, it owns me.

Maria B., thank you for such a lovely comment.

Maria B., the iris is a short little thing, but it has a deep rich color, and it blooms several days that seem more days than the tall irises. I noticed that it has multiplied this spring, which makes me happy. I am glad you found something here you especially enjoyed.
