My husband's MRI results were all good, cancer in remission, HepC gone, and liver function getting better. We should know more after the next MRI at the end of January.

I hope you are doing well and that you and your family will have a nice Holiday Season. ~ IngerIngerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02924736131382149056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2683241997705053264.post-14569744182452627652014-11-01T15:01:59.723-04:002014-11-01T15:01:59.723-04:00Beautiful!!!! You are correct abo...Lucy, thanks for the chuckle! You are correct about that for sure! However, I did the same thing as our friend Mary, from whom we bought the house. She and I both bought the garden... the house just came with it. She did a lot, but nothing like I have done. I have thoroughly enjoyed developing the different areas and building on what was already here. She left a lot of perennials for me to work with: peonies, irises, daylilies, poppies, spring bulbs, and many not so desirables like wild goldenrod, ironweed, et al. that are pernicious weeds which I have not been able to get rid of in all these 21 years. I am glad that this, the last post, pulled it all together for you and finally made some sense. I really appreciate your visiting and commenting. I seem to be so far behind with that myself. Training five new helpers this summer has just about whipped me, and makes me really feel my age. By-the-way, a Buddleia Butterfly Bush came up in the long brush pile at the foot of The Bank where someone threw some prunings. It reminds me of you every time I see it. We are converting that area to a long daylily bed, but I asked the students to leave the Buddleia.Barbee'https://www.blogger.com/profile/11316077390373348067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2683241997705053264.post-39128564154186245232011-07-03T18:24:28.812-04:002011-07-03T18:24:28.812-04:00A veritable river of flowers!

Nor had I quite worked out how the beds have their impact looking up and down. For some reason, I have been aware of them previously in their horizontal version so had understood them separately. Your series makes sense of them.

Mind - such an undertaking to cope with a slope! You might have had less work if you had moved to an empty, level plot and built yourselves a new house!

Hope all's well.

LucyLucy Corrander Now in Halifax!https://www.blogger.com/profile/14685242329129914772noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2683241997705053264.post-42410693307311410292011-07-02T14:04:50.372-04:002011-07-02T14:04:50.372-04:00Paula Jo, how kind of you to leave such a nice com...Paula Jo, how kind of you to leave such a nice comment. By me looking at your pictures I can tell you did a great job, Barbee. I love how you have planted the different levels and your Siberian Irises are something I had never seen before.

Have a wonderful 4th of July
Paula JoPJ | Home and Garden Decorhttp://cleanstar-homeandgardenworld.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2683241997705053264.post-12838152376162881972011-06-27T05:08:55.107-04:002011-06-27T05:08:55.107-04:00Lona, thank you so much. I think these irises are just as pretty as orchids.

Vetsy, I appreciate your appreciation :) The painter Claude Monet's iris paintings were my inspiration, but I don't have as much blue as he did in his beds. I've been working pretty much with just what was here on the place when we bought it. Of course, I have been moving them about. I did buy some dwarf varieties.Barbee'https://www.blogger.com/profile/11316077390373348067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2683241997705053264.post-31209890852807847222011-06-26T20:17:55.258-04:002011-06-26T20:17:55.258-04:00How rewarding!
